Healthy BMI Range
A BMI of 18.5–24.9 is considered healthy. For a given height, this translates to a weight range:
Healthy Weight = BMI × Height(m)²
Min = 18.5 × H², Max = 24.9 × H²
Which formula is most accurate?
No single formula is universally best. The BMI-based range is most widely used. The four traditional formulas were derived for clinical use and may not account for muscle mass or body composition.
